Composites manufacturers are asking a lot of questions about the value of “green” products. One of the most common is whether their customers will pay a premium for “green.” Mike Wallenhorst, director of product management at Ashland Inc., says they will, especially if you explain how they can get LEED points by using composites.

At its Composites 2010 booth in Las Vegas, Ashland will offer a presentation and answer questions about how to convey the value proposition of “green” products. . “Our presentation is going to focus on why your customer might be willing to pay for it and an understanding of how your products can lead to LEED credits to achieve a green rating.”

Ashland will also feature its line of Envirez resins, which feature bio-content and recycled content. The booth will highlight  the products’ applications in residential construction, though the products also can be used in commercial, industrial and automotive applications.

Ashland will be exhibiting at Booth #617
