New Peel Plys from Airtech

Exhibitor Profile: Airtech International Inc.

Airtech International Inc. will feature its line vacuum bagging and composite tooling products for the aircraft, aerospace, wind energy, automotive, marine and general composites industries at Composites 2010 in Las Vegas.

Among the products featured, Airtech will include its new Econostitch 66 and 5445 nylon peel plys. Econostitch 66 is a heat set and scoured peel ply with the added benefit of being made from nylon 6,6. The nylon 6,6 provides improved strength with improved removal characteristics, according to a company press release. Econostitch 5445 is also heat set and scoured nylon peel ply.  It has a higher thread count (tighter weave) and is designed for improved release characteristics, making it easier to peel off than our other economy grade, non-coated peel plies.

Airtech also will feature Econostitch G polyester peel ply for use with both polyester and epoxy resins. Econostitch G has black tracers with high visibility to reduce the risk of peel ply being left on the part. It’s economically priced for marine, wind energy and commercial applications.
